Frequently Asked Questions

Can I visit and meet the puppies?

Yes. In-person visits are available by appointment to approved prospective families following a video chat. This helps us get to know you and confirm that you’re ready to welcome a puppy. To respect our time and limit unnecessary traffic, we do not offer casual or drop-in visits.

Are your puppies examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated and dewormed?

Yes. Every puppy is examined by a licensed veterinarian and receives a health certificate or pet passport. Puppies are up to date on their DAPP vaccinations and are dewormed every two weeks, starting at two weeks of age. Each puppy also receives flea and tick prevention at eight weeks of age.

Do you provide a written health guarantee?

Yes. We provide a written contract that includes a one-year health guarantee covering genetic disorders, subject to the terms outlined in the contract.

What comes home with my puppy?

Your puppy comes home with food, pee pads, a blanket, a toy, poop bags, a collar and a leash to help you get started.

Is a deposit required, and is it refundable?

A $200 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your puppy.

Do you offer delivery or air shipping?

Free delivery may be available to most major Ontario cities, subject to approval—please contact us to confirm your location. Air shipping across Canada can be arranged through WestJet or Air Canada, with charges varying by destination and travel arrangements. Flight nanny services are also available for an additional fee.

Can I meet my puppy’s parents?

Yes. Once your puppy is reserved, you can arrange to meet the parents in person.

How should I prepare my home?

Prepare a quiet sleeping area, food and water bowls, a secure carrier, suitable toys and a toilet-training area. Keep cords, small objects and household products out of reach.

How do I find out which puppies are available?

Check our puppy listings and contact us to confirm current availability. Include the puppy’s name or the breed you’re interested in.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash and e-transfer. All puppy prices are subject to HST, and a receipt is provided with your purchase.

What happens if I reserve a puppy but can’t pick it up on the agreed date?

Please contact us to arrange an extended hold. We usually require an additional $100 deposit for each week we hold your puppy. This amount goes toward the puppy’s total purchase price, so there is no extra boarding fee—you simply pay a larger portion of the price in advance.

What happens if I change my mind after paying a deposit?

Your deposit is non-refundable, but it can be transferred to another puppy if you complete your purchase within three months of paying the deposit.

Has my puppy started pee-pad or outdoor toilet training?

All our puppies begin pee-pad training by five weeks of age and outdoor potty training by eight weeks of age. Training is ongoing, so your puppy will still need a consistent routine and support after coming home.

What vaccinations and deworming will my puppy need after coming home?

Your puppy’s health record will show the vaccinations and deworming already received. Bring this record to your veterinarian so they can plan the remaining treatments. Puppies typically receive a series of DAPP vaccinations spaced approximately 3–4 weeks apart, continuing until at least 16 weeks of age. The number of doses still needed will depend on your puppy’s age and vaccination history. Rabies vaccination is generally given from 12 weeks of age, according to your veterinarian’s guidance and local requirements. Your veterinarian will also recommend an ongoing deworming and stool-testing schedule. Deworming does not guarantee that a puppy will remain parasite-free. Puppies explore with their mouths and can encounter parasites in contaminated soil, feces and other materials, so continued prevention and monitoring are important.

Does my puppy need a vet appointment shortly after coming home?

Yes. Our health guarantee requires your puppy to be examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of arriving home. Please arrange this appointment in advance and bring your puppy’s health records.

Can I take my puppy to parks or pet stores before their vaccinations are complete?

For your puppy’s safety, avoid dog parks and do not let them walk on pet-store floors or other public areas frequented by unfamiliar dogs until your veterinarian confirms it is safe after their vaccination series. When taking your puppy out, carry them securely in your arms or use a suitable carrier. Avoid contact with unfamiliar dogs, shared water bowls and potentially contaminated surfaces. Safe early socialization is still important. Ask your veterinarian about suitable ways to introduce your puppy to new people, sounds and experiences while vaccinations are in progress.
